My name is Eric Skwarczynski.

I am a designer and videographer that has provided media resources to churches and ministries across the United States, as well as in India, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba.

I am married to Tara Lynn Skwarczynski, who is my biggest supporter and encourager. We worship together in membership at Fellowship in the Pass, a thriving community of believers in Southern California.

I began this blog in 2013 under the name “AGuyAndHisCamera.wordpress.com” with intentions of documenting my travels and video projects, however, I never did. I instead began sharing what I was learning about God and how He was radically changing my worldview and lifestyle.

Three years later, this blog – now named Engaging Culture –  is home to 100+ articles, I’ve released an eBook (available free on iTunes), and recently begun a Facebook page to encourage and equip believers.

My articles have also been featured on Challies and Gospel Relevance.

  2. It’s good to know that someone else has taken up the Engaging Culture moniker. I started EngagingCulture.com in 2005 and posted regular blogs on film and theology. But let is slip away in the financial crisis of 2008-2009. When I had the time and means to pick it back up I found that it was beyond my grasp. My Twitter handle still shows that name. I have started a new blog called LifeattheMovies.com. My goal is to specifically look at film as one aspect of culture and engage the trends and stories found there with the truth of the gospel. I enjoyed checking out your site. Keep the faith and stay strong in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
