Across the world, there are an average 40 million abortions performed every year. 4o MILLION! Yet that number doesn’t shake us like it should.

Perhaps mass-murderer Joseph Stalin was right when he said,

“The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic.” -Joseph Stalin

Why did you create these images?

I am becoming increasingly burdened about the issue of abortion – and am constantly convicted by the fact that I need to do more.

One of the areas I am most convicted about, regarding this issue, is my prayer life. As children are literally ripped limb from limb on a daily basis, I should be able to spend at least a few moments on my knees – interceding for protection for the helpless, and the granting of repentance for the murderers.

I’ve been trying to remind myself to go to prayer more frequently regarding this issue, but sadly, it is so easy to allow lesser priorities to steal our focus and attention.

That is why I have created these images. For the next several days, I will be using this image as the wallpaper on my iPhone – a reminder every time I look at my phone to pray for unborn.

What does “Imago Dei” mean?

The term Imago Dei is latin; simply meaning, the image of God. The atrocity of abortion is that it destroys fellow human beings – beings created in the very image of God Himself. It is literally an audacious defamation of the Creator’s design.

How do I download the images?

Click on the image you are interested in downloading, and select view full size. If you are on a computer, just right-click and save. If you are on a mobile device, just save like you would any other image.

What should I do with these images?

I want you to consider placing this image on your computer or mobile device for the next week. Whenever you look at it, take it as a reminder to say a prayer for the unborn, and all those involved in the practice of abortion: doctors, nurses, women’s clinic staff, and ultimately, the parents of these dear children.

How can I encourage others to do the same?

Share this post with them! Also, in addition to the mobile and desktop images, I have created an Instagram graphic that you can download as well! Use this to share your commitment to pray for the unborn with others on social media. You never know how you can inspire others!

I hope this resource is a blessing to you! If there are any other social issues that you believe need to be emphasized in prayer among believers, let me know in the comments. I may just develop some resources for those later on.
